Went to watch the six nations with my wife. Nice crowd and friendly atmosphere.
Good place to watch the football, as there are plenty of large screens. Gets very busy for the big games though, and groups hogging tables and chairs mean it's hard to find a seat. There's no hand pumped real ale, mainly lagers and ciders.
Food was excellent very friendly staff
I recently visiting the brickhouse for the first time in order to watch the boxing event Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk. I was charged £5 to enter the pub which although I was surprised about considering it is a pub located in Slough (a subjectively bad area!), l accepted due to the magnitude of the event I was about to watch- the first heavyweight unification boxing event of the last 25 years. I enjoyed a few relatively cheap pints of Peroni before the Fury-Usyk fight started, however as soon as the fight started it cut out due to an apparent dodgy firestick being used (rather than the pub buying the official Sky Sports PPV), and it was unavailable to watch for the next 5 rounds, much to the anger and dismay of other customers (most of whom were there solely for the boxing). I luckily managed to find an illegal stream to watch the event on my phone, as did a few others with a crowd of 5/6 people watching over each of our shoulders. Personally I find this deeply unacceptable that we would be asked to pay £5 to enter a Slough pub with the intention of watching the boxing, yet the TVs did not show it until the fifth round. However, once the stream started to work again I had a pleasant experience and there was a good atmosphere within the pub. Once the event finished, I went to the bartender to ask for my £5 entry back considering the first 5 rounds of the boxing (the only reason I came here in the first place!) were not shown due to a dodgy firestick. He directed me towards the security manager, who was extremely unhelpful and rude, and refused to refund me the £5 I paid to get in. However fortunately a female manager came over and she was much more understanding- although initially she was hesitant to grant my refund for the missed boxing, she listened to my argument and eventually spoke with the manager who eventually agreed to grant me the £5 refund. However this manager (apparently the most senior person in the pub at the time) had previously deliberately walked straight past me l as I attempted to get some form of compensation for the disruption to the boxing which I was looking forward to watching. Based on my experiences with the female manager who was understanding and very good at customer service, I would return to this pub for live sports again (as long as they sort out their streaming services and don’t rely on illegal firesticks!). Furthermore the bartender I spoke to also provided good customer service and was friendly, however the head of security and the general manager were lacking in basic customer service skills and I would suggest they take advice from the senior female manager that assisted me. This is not a bad pub; it is let down by some of its staff.
Modern sports bar with big screens. No beers of interest to ale drinkers. Very pleasant service.
